Germany: 1-2

This card is DE-504376, it shows Kleinmachnow, a municipality in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district. The upper right picture shows the Hakeburg villa which was built between 1906 and 1908 and used as the academy for the Socialist Unity Party of Germany. There is no stamp on this postcard.


This card is DE-548991, shows a Bear and places in Berlin. This card has no stamp. The places shown are the following:

Gedächtniskirche: a Protestant church which was built between 1893 and 1904
Rotes Rathaus: the Red City Hall, which is the town hall of Berlin and was built between 1861 and 1869
Berliner Dom: the Berlin Cathedral which was built in 1541 and frequently updated until 1905
Funkturm: a transmitting tower which was built between 1924 and 1926 and is a protected monument
Fernsehturm: this is a television tower which was constructed between 1965 and 1969.
Brandenburger Tor: the Brandenburg Gate, which was commissioned as a sign of peace by King Frederick William II of Prussia and was the entry point to the boulevard where the Prussian Monarch's city palace was situated. The gate was built between 1788 and 1791 and the city palace was demolished in 1950.
