USA: 24

This card was sent for the Choose the Stamp tag from GreenFox (the stamp I picked was the third) and shows a reprint of a 1902 photograph taken by A. C. Vroman (1856-1916) of Taqui, a Moki Snake Priest. The first stamp is currently the oldest I've recieved through postcrossing; it shows a plane flying over the Capitol building and was released on the 5th December 1962. The second stamp is from the State Flowers and Birds issue, shows the Willow Ptarmigan (Willow Grouse) and Forget-Me-Not which are the state bird and flower from Alaska and was released on the 14th April 1982. The third stamp is from the Aviation Pioneer issue, shows Alfred V. Verville (1890-1970) and was released on the 13th February 1985. The final stamp was issued to celebrate 100 years since the first flight of the Wright Brothers on the 22nd May 2003.
